I find yur instructions very helpful. I swapped it with the cable for the quick play bar as a temporary fix and ordered in some new cables and in the process of doing that somehow managed to break the plastic piece that holds the cable in the connector for the quick play bar. Turn on the laptop without DVD drive installed. Also, try removing memory modules one by one and the laptop with each memory module separately.

Can you link me a guide or how to to solve that? But everything works and I am thankful for your website. The inverter board mounted under the LCD screen. I then powered down, removed memory multiple times expecting memory issue with same result. I did all of that took off the bezel checked if the connection was ok and i unplugged it and replugged it and turned my laptop on and it didnt work. I received a HP pavilion but it would not turn on.


Thanks for the effort but my sound still doesnt work. The LCD is still functioning but i hate to look at it as it has little white each edge of the screen.

I was just curious, if my blower fan went bad, do i have to take apart any of the front of the device, such as keyboard,etc… or can this blowing fan be accessed and replaced by just removing the screws on the back.

I think the cooling fan just died.

Ideally you should test your laptop with another known good adapter. Dv67000 double checked the re-attachment of the three cables to the Altec Lansing cover.

Now, the battery is not charging; which probably indicates that the battery contacts are not in properly interlocked. Very clear and helpful.

It suddenly completely disappear one day. What do you mean the drive not recognized? They all are different. Did you install the CPU correctly?

Following your instructions, I took everything apart and I found that the cooling assembly was packed with lint, making this laptop shut down due to thermal within 2 minits from boot. Try reconnecting the keyboard cable. The picture is not clear enough to see… can you help me out?
