Without this love triangle aspect, I would have given this book a 5 star rating. The story was original and fast-paced, and I found myself unable to put the book down. How did Frank became part of the ALT?

This is a must read!!! I thought that maybe the Characters where a little underdeveloped that we really didn’t get a chance to understand them. What does love look like? Time for an admission: After reading so many bad reviews,I was hesitant to buy it. His thoughts were shallow, he was cocky, and considering we actually saw his thoughts I just never really saw that side that Venus did. Is it Mythological Romance? This is a slightly different genre for me, but I really enjoyed it!

I fell in love with him right away. He came across as a sleazy, shallow creep in several chapters, and even knowing about the type of abuse he suffered wasn’t enough for me to reconcile those actions with his kinder and more loving ones. For a girl who’d been raised to suppress her feelings, she was surprisingly compassionate and easy to empathize with.


I suddenly had to adjust my thinking. Up front I must admit that I approached this book with hesitancy.

I wrote it, so yes, I think it’s fabulous. Other things I enjoyed from the book include the different names of things and people from planet Kelari and some of sorkman science fi I really enjoyed this book. Pick it up free at the Kindle App Store today! We start off with Venus and her 16th birthday, where in Kelari you receive a task which you must complete to become immortal.

And the ending left me needing to know what happens next, so I will probably read the second book, Beguiled. Someone has framed her of a crime unthinkable on her planet, someone has framed her of killing her irrihunter. Only she doesn’t know the first thing about love. I found myself mentally enveloped in Venus’s world, thinking about it whenever I couldn’t be reading. Is it Urban YA? College Kid who reads YA. There were no positive female characters other than Venus.

I’m still thinking about it, all these hours later, and I would definitely recommend it to any and all readers. I am excited to read the next installation and feel connected to the characters. Feb 02, Revati Ragini rated it really liked it.


He was beat as a child, and still his mother is verbally, emotionally and physically abusive to him. I look forward to finding out what happens with Michael’s destiny and what Venus and Zaren are up to next. I can absolutely understand why people don’t rate this very high, because it IS a bit rough at first. The only predictable part in this story was rashel,e love triangle, but it wasn’t all bad because it’s hard to know which guy to root for, because neither have particularly bad qualities and both love her unconditionally.

His mother is effed up insane and how could he just let her push him around like that while still making polite replies of “Yes, mother. I definitely want to spend more time with the characters and delve deeper into their world in the sequel.

Gorgeous doesn’t do it justice! It just did not quite work out the way she planned it. I absolutely loved the world that RaShelle created.
