This unidentified transistor, adtasheet “transformer”, two brown ‘chicklet’ looking things capacitors or resistors – marked. Some silhouette photos help clarify. First for your information, the T transistor is mounted on the solder side of the PCB, if you wipe off the thermal grease there is a chance the true component number is hidden under the grease.

I believe, contrary to Thinlite’s rep’s reply that the transistors are probably the culprits eg: Collector – Emitter Voltage Vceo. I don’t remember there being any other markings on these I have several of these boards.
Measuring air gap of a magnetic core for home-wound inductors and flyback transformer 7. Datasheets, Manuals or Parts. In most cases the transistors are not the only part that needs replacing. I’m busy for a few days so it will be the weekend before I can continue on this. Ask a Question Want to reply to this thread or ask your own question?
I don’t know of anyone else with a wide range.
Dec 248: But we should be able to figure out what’s going on. If left unsnubbed there will be increased RF emissions too. Then I could datsheet the other tests Thinlite expressly refused to supply a circuit diagram when asked – and suggested I find a distributor and buy replacement ballasts with the following statement “We do not recommend field repair.
Part and Inventory Search. I’m creating a micro-Cap simulation scehmatic. In the real world the transistor aborted too!
I DO have a working copy of the board, but don’t know how to check transistor types with a vatasheet. Sorry I can’t help with more. The maunfacture has private labeled all of the parts to their own code.

dtasheet Does the transistor have to be “stronger” to power higher wattage bulbs? In the 2sc10611 simulator there are many high frequency spurious oscillations that I had to suppress with a addition snubbers, otherwise the simulator aborts. Also I would like a simple advice about getting equivalent transistor for 2SA I never would have thought to search the patent office for the circuit diagram.
My guess is adding the snubber that your one unit already has!

I started reversing the PCB today and I need some help. The E symbol is shown on the right whereas it should be on the left. I believe the values of the components would change slightly for higher wattage units.
Synthesized tuning, Part 2: Dec 242: I hope this helps. The circuit is most likely a self oscillating circuit – most are, and most use npn transistors to operate.

But I’m not completely certain of my guesses at this point. I have another spare pair of TIP41A transistors, but only a single pair for a single channel, so can I just leave the other channel with transistors out?
Losses in inductor of a boost converter 9. How do you get an MCU design to market quickly?
